The joint medical mission, which ran from June 16 to June 20, 2025, saw the team perform a series of complex procedures aimed at giving critically ill patients a new lease of life.

The initiative highlights the remarkable impact of teamwork, medical expertise, and international collaboration in advancing healthcare in Ghana.

“Ayekoo (congratulations) to the Cardiothoracic Team at UGMC and CardioStart International for this incredible achievement,” UGMC shared in a statement, commending the dedication and skill of the team.

The collaboration marks yet another milestone in UGMC’s mission to become a centre of excellence in specialized healthcare, training, and research in West Africa.
