The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) held back on arresting former Deputy Education Minister, Rev. Ntim Fordjour, after Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, reportedly assured authorities that Rev. Fordjour would make himself available for further investigations on Friday.

The decision follows mounting pressure over drug trafficking allegations Rev. Fordjour made, which the Ghana Airports Company Limited has since dismissed as false and baseless.

NIB sources indicate that if the former minister fails to report himself as agreed, the Bureau will take immediate steps to effect his arrest.
