Dr Letsa bids farewell to VRHC
THE Volta Regional Minister, Dr (Med) Archibald Yao Letsa, last Thursday called on the Volta Region House of Chiefs (VRHC) to bid the members an emotional farewell as his tenure comes to an end.
The courtesy call during the last meeting of the house in 2024 was to thank them for their guidance and support during his eight-year tenure of office.
Dr Letsa said governance was a continuous process, irrespective of which political party was in power; and pledged to continue to contribute to the development agenda of the region in various ways after leaving office.
“Whether I am the Volta Regional Minister or not, I will forever remain a citizen of the Volta Region, and so I will support every development effort in the region.
Dr Letsa entreated the chiefs to accord the incoming regional minister the same cordiality they extended to him over the past eight years, for smooth progress in the region.
President of VRHC
The VRHC president, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, lauded Dr Letsa for his fair-minded attitude toward matters concerning the region.
“Dr Letsa was more development-focused than partisan, and he did the region a certain level of good for which he must be recognised,” he added.
The Paramount Chief of Klefe, Togbe Dzaga XII, also commended Dr Letsa for his immense respect for the VRHS, his prompt response to invitations from the house, and his decorum in treating traditional rulers in the region.
He stated that the Volta Region was still lagging in development and thus stressed that members of the house would maintain a united front and work in peace with the next regional minister in the region’s interest.
