Cape Coast Teaching Hospital resumes dialysis services

The Cape Coast Teaching Hospital has resumed haemodialysis services after it was suspended.

The hospital temporarily halted haemodialysis services on June 14, 2024 due to quality issues.

“The decision was made in response to quality issues encountered last week during our regular operations,” a statement issued June 14  said.

The Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Frederick Nyankah, in another statement dated June 26, 2024 announcing the resumption of service said considering the critical nature of the haemodialysis services, the management worked assiduously to rectify the situation.

The Cape Coast Hospital is where many patients from the Central, Western and parts of Eastern regions access haemodialysis service.
